“God showed me in a vision there would be a church in this community that would be second to none. It would be filled with people and a lot of young people that were praising and worshipping God. Many that are here would not live to see it, but yet some would and one person in the room would be the pastor of that church.”

Those were the words from the Lord as prophetically spoken by pastor and founder Lillian Wright of Wright’s Tabernacle over 30 years ago in a service with her congregation. As a member of the congregation, a young woman sat listening attentively. This young lady had no idea of the journey the Lord was about to have her embark upon. For some reason, unknown to her, she could never forget those words of prophecy. She did not realize the Lord was speaking directly to her. Shortly after the Lord planted those words as a seed within her spirit, the adversary tried to stop the plan of God for her life. She left the church for a time, but a desperate need in her family and a hunger for God motivated her to search for a place to fellowship. It was in the late 70’s that Overseer Sims, then a young mother with her small children was just starting her journey with the Lord. She needed a miracle of reconciliation, healing and deliverance for her family.

In 2005, after twenty-seven years of faithful service, through divine intervention, prayer and fasting, the Lord confirmed the release of Overseer Deborah D. Sims to begin a new chapter of service as Senior Pastor and Founder of Living Word Family Worship Center.
In just two weeks time a church was immediately birthed. A group of people assembled as Pastor Sims, found herself teaching “faith” to a generation that refused to quit. This awesome prophetic move of God as spoken over 30 years ago was manifested on March 6, 2005 at the home of one of the members in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania.

Overseer Sims encouraged the people attending to seek the heart of God through faith, prayer and fasting. Living Word Family Worship Center (L.W.F.W.C.) in Willow Grove, Pennsylvania was established and spiritually confirmed that day. The catalyst that made Overseer Sims seek God was the purpose and insight from the Father’s heart for ministry that He poured into her more than 30 years ago to equip families to be Godly stalwart Christians that will hunger and thirst for the true presence of God, through the Living Word, and to have a passion for worship. Two years after the birth of LWFWC, on Sunday, March 25, 2007, Overseer Sims was installed as the Senior Pastor of Living Word Family Worship Center by The Right Reverend Loretta Smith-Johnson, and on Saturday, October 6, 2012, she was consecrated as an Overseer. The Right Reverend Loretta Smith-Johnson, Bishop Ordinary, is the General Secretary and Second Assistant Presiding Prelate of The Covenant Ecumenical Fellowship and Cathedral Assemblies (CEFCA), and an upper – class scholar, instructor and speaker of the Joint College of African American Pentecostal Bishops.
